Ho 70 anni, sono nato e cresciuto in questa città. Ho la terza media, ma ho lavorato sodo tutta la vita e mi sono costruito tutto da solo: ho la mia azienda e il mio bel capannone, grazie a questo ho mandato tutti i miei figli a studiare all’università.
Ora i miei figli lavorano in azienda, … e stanno rovinando tutto: volevano solo rinnovare i miei capannoni, “è il futuro” dicevano, “papà i tempi sono cambiati”. I miei capannoni adesso sembrano delle colline, non capisco come i camionisti possano ancora trovarci, ricoperte di una specie di erba verde. “Papà” dicono “ non capisci che questi sono steli speciali che producono energia? Da quando gli abbiamo installati non dobbiamo più pagare le bollette!”. “Papà” ripetono “non vedi come è bello adesso? vedi come la nuova struttura ripara anche le auto? Non vedi che fa ombra e che d’estate è più fresco?Papà fidati questo è il futuro“ E per finire mi danno il colpo di grazia “Papà non vedi?? Non sembra nemmeno un capannone… “

Il progetto prevede la re-territorializzazione di una serie di capannoni commerciali: coniugando l’esigenza di rinnovare la facciata e di proteggere i parcheggi antistanti, l’architettura intende riconnettere l’edificio originario al territorio circostante, attraverso la messa in scena di un nuovo paesaggio che vuole assorbire il carattere di quella campagna che ormai si allontana sempre più da quella che è la porta est della città di Pordenone.

Una leggera struttura modulare sostiene il tessuto protettivo semitrasparente e i trentamila steli flessibili che ricoprono i quattromila mq di area parcheggio: il sistema offre, nel periodo estivo, una piacevole ombreggiatura diffusa su diversi livelli, oltre a regalare un emozionante effetto dinamico dovuto all’azione dl vento. Gli steli, che evocano un campo d’erba sempreverde, sono rivestiti da una membrana fotovoltaica flessibile per garantire l’autonomia energetica dei fabbricati serviti.

I’m seventy years old, I was born in this town. My warehouse now look like hills, I do not understand how truck drivers can still find us, covered with a kind of green grass. “Dad,” they say “don’t you understand that these are special stems that produce energy? Since we have installed, we no longer pay the bills. “Dad” they repeat “don’t you see how beautiful it is now? don’t you see see how the new structure also repairs the cars? Don’t you see that it gives shade in summer and in this way it is cooler? Dad trust us, this is the future” and finally they give me the coup de grace: “Daddy can’t you see? It Doesn’t even look like a warehouse … “

The project is about the ri-territorialization of a series of commercial warehouses: combining the need to renovate the facade and to design the parking area in front of the building, the architecture reconnects the building to the surrounding environment through the staging of a new landscape that tries to absorb the character of that country side, now forgotten by that area of the town, outskirt of Pordenone.

A light modular structure supports the semi-transparent protective tech fabric and thirty thousand flexible blades that cover four thousand square meters parking area: the system offers, in the summer season, a delightful diffused shadow in different layers. The rubber blades are moved by the wind gifting an always different dynamic effect, creating an emotional landscape, evoking an evergreen grass field. The blades are part of a photovoltaic system, in fact they are covered by a soft flexible membrane equipped by small semi-spherical silicon spheres.
