La casa è costituita da 3 volumi principali che ospitano al proprio interno le stanze private, mentre gli spazi comuni sono modellati dai flussi di relazione tra i volumi stessi. Pareti e pavimenti, costituiti da telai autoportanti in profilati di acciaio leggeri, si scambiano i ruoli attraverso delle torsioni, il tutto a creare degli ambienti dal carattere dinamico.

La zona giorno è un open space al piano terra che si proietta all’esterno attraverso ampie aperture su due fronti contrapposti. Lo spazio della cucina si apre da un dislivello di sessanta centimetri dal piano generale, si tratta di uno spazio lineare dove tutti gli elettrodomestici e i mobili sono integrati nella parete principale. Il banco di lavoro emerge come una lunga fascia nel taglio del dislivello e separa la cucina dalla sala da pranzo. Il soffitto tra le due stanze è caratterizzato da una “pancia” che ospita il sistema di aspirazione e una lastra di vetro sospesa per il convogliamento dei fumi.

Il volume superiore si apre nella scala che diventa l’elemento centrale della casa, definendo al contempo l’ingresso. Il piano superiore ospita le camere da letto, spazi ermetici verso l’interno, aperti attraverso ampie vetrate all’esterno e connessi tra loro da un corridoio chiuso soltanto da una parete a verde.

Le piante rampicanti diventano un elemento architettonico di transizione tra interno ed esterno. Oltre a delineare la sagoma esterna dell’edificio, ricavano gli spazi “nel mezzo” come il garage e le stanze di servizio.

Il pavimento della villa è ricoperto da una superficie continua morbida che ha lo scopo di attivare il sistema-corpo durante la vita quotidiana: il nostro piede è strutturato per far fronte a infinite configurazioni del suolo e su questa varietà gravità la salute postulare del resto del corpo. La postura è una funzione ritmica, questo tipo di pavimentazione vuole mettere in crisi il sistema secondo il principio dell’adattamento fisiologico al fine di migliorare la qualità dei movimenti.

The house is defined by three main volumes that contain the private rooms (bathroom, storage, …), while the common spaces are modeled by the relationship between the fluxes of the volumes themselves. Walls and floors, made out of self-supporting steel frames, are exchanging their roles with torsions to generate a dynamic character.

The ground floor is an open space that projects itself outside through large apertures on two opposite sides. The kitchen space opens from a slope and the difference in height of sixty centimeters separates it from the main floor of the dining room. The kitchen it is a linear space where all the households and furnitures are integrated inside the main wall, the  working table emerges as a long stripe from the slope’s cut. The ceiling between the  kitchen and the dining room is deformed to define a “belly” where a suspended glass shell is hung below the cut that incorporates the range hood.

The main volume opens itself in the staircase that is the main element of the house, defining internal flows and the main entrance. At the second floor there are the bedrooms: closed spaces to the inside, opened to the outside with floor to ceiling windows and an outdoor corridor, filtered just by a green wall.

The climbing plants are an architectural element of transition between inside and outside. Besides delineating the outline of the building, the green walls give shape to in-between spaces like the garage and other service rooms.

The floor of the house is covered by a soft continuous surface that has the purpose to activate the body system during the everyday life: our feet are structured to work with infinite configurations of the ground and the postural health is up to this variety. Posture is a rhythmical function, this type of floor wants to undermine the body system, based on the principle of the physiological adaptation to better improve the quality of the movements.
